Hello Team...
IF YOU OR ANYONE IN YOUR FAMILY IS UNWELL, PLEASE DO NOT COME TO WORK. Notify Sue Bircham and your leader and follow the isolation rules until you have been given all clear from a medical test.
We must remain extremely vigilant with COVID -19 as we can see how quickly it can return with the disappointing situation that is unfolding in Sydney. And now we have seen the COVID transmissions from Sydney appearing in Melbourne. There are 34 cases now in Melbourne. This can become a very serious situation once again if everyone does not adhere to the rules.
Happy new year and hopefully 2021 will be a healthy and successful year for all of us. I hope you all managed to have a relaxing time with family and friends over both the Christmas and New Year long weekends. After an unpredictable business year, we managed to reach the halfway mark in better shape than most expected. Sure, we had stock shortages; sure, we had pressure trying to produce while commissioning new equipment; sure, we had customers chasing us for more stock; sure, we had supply delays on raw materials and packaging; sure, we had many hours of frustration with changes of production plans. While experiencing all these things, we still managed to produce an amazing result in December by achieving just short of our record sales month in December last year. It is a credit to the entire team for your commitment and dedication to helping rebuild after the impact of the pandemic. A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE. I have included a selection of our team members working to keep us producing our wonderful Everest Ice Cream.
We are still in peak ice cream consumption time and need to make the most of these warmer months. Many people will still be on holiday and enjoying leisure time, along with our many delicious ice creams.
Stay safe. Stay well.
Owen
